Help4 Commerce Getting Started
Commerce path
Build commerce around the catalog first, then checkout.
A store only works when product data, variations, subscriptions, checkout routing, emails, and order status all agree.
1. Choose the product model
Simple products, variable products, subscriptions, digital products, service packages, and large imports need different defaults.
2. Clean the catalog fields
Titles, SKUs, descriptions, images, categories, prices, stock, variation labels, and subscription terms must be consistent.
3. Set payment routes
Use routing rules when different product types, subscriptions, regions, or processor fallbacks need different paths.
4. Test checkout context
A checkout should know product, variation, subscription, customer, price, tax/shipping needs, and return path.
5. Add trust signals
Use policy links, support links, SSL, security headers, reviews, FAQs, and clear fulfillment expectations.
6. Load-test before big catalogs
Large catalogs need import checks, search checks, image checks, cache checks, and admin edit checks.
