Publish with fewer surprises
Template rules need the same care as page content.
Review rule overlap before publishing, keep a normal page open for comparison, and test one desktop and one phone width. Clear caches after the public page proves the saved template and its conditions are correct.
If a template is missing
Confirm publish status, role, include rules, exclusions, and the current page layout.
If two templates appear
Find overlapping conditions and use the narrowest rule or an intentional priority.
If mobile navigation fails
Check menu hierarchy, the toggle state, submenu spacing, focus behavior, and overflow.
